A 29-YEAR-OLD woman has died after a single vehicle collision in Camborne this afternoon.

Police, fire and ambulance crews were called to the accident in Pengegon at around 2pm this afternoon involving a car containing three people. Unfortunately a local woman in the car died from her injuries. An investigation is now taking place.

A statement from Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police , fire service and ambulance service were called at 2pm on Thursday 10 June to Pengegon, Camborne following a report of a single vehicle collision.

"There were three occupants in the car. Sadly one occupant, a 29 year old local woman, received fatal injuries in the collision.

"An investigation by officers from the specialist roads policing team continues."

The incident was the third in one day which involved either someone being killed or being seriously injured.

This morning someone was killed after being hit by a train at Truro Railway Station.
