Police have issued photos of a "distinctively dressed" man and two campervans, all of which may hold vital information about a dog theft this week.

Devon and Cornwall police has issued a statement appealing for witnesses after a dog was reported to be stolen in Perranporth on Tuesday (June 8).

This was said to take place in the Twarnhayle Square area of Perranporth, at around 1.30pm.

The dog is described as being a black-coloured Patterdale terrier with a white patch on its chest.

Her owner has now sent the Packet a picture of the dog, Lola, so that people can keep a watch out for her.

A police investigation has been launched and now CCTV images of a man wearing a black vest and a straw hat with a black have been issued in the hope someone will be able to to identify him.

Officers carry out enquiries also want to speak with the owners of two campervans, one of which is plain white and the other with a black pattern.

A force spokesperson said: "Officers would like to talk to the owners of a Fiat Ducato campervan and a Citroen Relay campervan, and to identify the distinctively-dressed man pictured, all of whom may have information vital to the investigation.

"We apologise for the quality of the images, but they are the best available at this time."
