Update 19.25:
Road is now clear and open
DRIVERS are being warned to avoid the A30 Highgate Hill after a three car collision and fire blocked the eastbound carriageway.
The emergency services received multiple calls to a vehicle on fire at around 2.30pm this afternoon.
When the crew from St Columb Fire Station they quickly realised it was a three vehicle collision with a campervan well alight.
They used two hose reel jets and a dry powder extingusher to put out the flames and ventilated an LPG gas cylinder which had been involved.
They warned drivers to avoid the area.
