RE-ELECTED Cornwall Councillor Jayne Kirkham is to hold regular Covid safe drop-ins for Penwerris residents following the slight easing of restrictions.

Ms Kirkham, who was also elected to the town council, thanked the people of Falmouth Penwerris for voting for her on May 6 saying she was incredibly honoured to have been elected as the ward's Cornwall Councillor.

The surgeries will be held on every other Wednesday afternoon from 3.30pm to 5.30pm at the Lighthouse family hub in Jubilee Road. The first one takes place next Wednesday, June 23. She hopes that other town councillors can attend to.

Ms Kirkham, who is the leader of the Labour group on the county council, told the Packet: “Firstly I want to thank the people of Falmouth Penwerris for voting for me on 6 May and I am incredibly honoured to have been elected as your Cornwall councillor.

"It has been difficult during Covid to have face to face contact with people. But now restrictions are slightly easier I am going to start a Covid-safe drop-in for Penwerris residents. This will be at the Lighthouse family hub on Jubilee Road every other Wednesday afternoon from 3.30pm-5.30pm starting on Weds 23 June.

"If you have an issue you want to talk to me about - housing, recycling, social care, roads, anything where the council could help, please do drop in and see me. I am hoping that one or two of the other town councillors can attend too."
