People in Camborne can protect themselves against Covid-19 by grabbing a jab at the same time as doing their shopping this weekend, when a pop-up vaccination clinic takes place on Saturday.

Cases of Covid-19 are rising across Cornwall, but NHS Kernow is saying getting a jab is one of the ways people can keep safe, and get back to normality.

Anyone who is older than 18 and has not yet been vaccinated can get a dose of Pfizer from the Dolcoath Council office car park, from 10am to 6pm.

There is no need to book an appointment as people can just turn up, get vaccinated, and get back on with their day.

NHS Kernow’s chairman Dr Paul Cook said: “Like everyone, I want to get back to doing the things we all loved doing before the pandemic struck, like going on holiday and seeing family.

“Cases of Covid are increasing in Camborne, and on Saturday you can protect yourself at our pop-up clinic at the Dolcoath Council office car park. You don’t have to book, just turn up and get your jab.

“Getting vaccinated not only protects you and your loved ones, but is our way out of this pandemic. Don’t delay, and do it for Cornwall.”

People in Falmouth can do the same thing a day earlier, at a pop-up clinic at Falmouth Health Centre this Friday.

Visitors don’t need to book an appointment, and can just turn up at the outpatients’ department in Trevaylor Road from 9am to 5.30pm to get a dose of Pfizer.

Organisers have asked that people should please not contact Falmouth Health Centre about it.

There is no need to take your NHS number to get vaccinated at a pop-up clinic.
