It's your chance to "Put Your Best Foot Forward!" and enter 'The Famous Falmouth Marching Carnival' this August.

The organisers of this year's carnival on Saturday, August 7 are looking for more people to step forward and enter the event.

"Let's make this a highlight of the town’s annual events calendar in 2021 and kick off the start of Falmouth Week in style!," said a spokesman.

Pre-Carnival Fun starts at 11am at Falmouth Rugby Club with South West's Inflatable Theme Park. Bar and refreshments are open from 12pm.

Marching Carnival Entry Registration Opens on the Day from 3pm at Falmouth Rugby Club.

The marching parade Starts 6:30pm at Falmouth Rugby Club, officially ending at Church Street Car Park.

There will be no mistaking the Falmouth Marine Band Cornwall as it entertains the crowds on its way through Falmouth town centre with the melodious strains of the oil drums of the Falmouth Marine Band Cornwall, beating down Killigrew Street, along Market Street and ending officially in 2021 on Church Street.

Organisers ask people to note that Arwenack Street and Grove Place are not part of the official route in 2021.

The Falmouth Marine Band often stop along the way to fire something from the cannon, while generally adding madness and mayhem of the day, along with Betty Stogs who always entertains spectators as the people's favourite ‘Carnival Queen’.

The marching parade finishes with a free Carnival Party down on Church Street Car Park Marquee. Expect toe-tapping tunes, street food, and plenty of local brews. For those of you returning back to Falmouth Rugby Club the bar will remain open to welcome you home.

The organisers say the event subject to Government guidelines at the time.

This is a marching carnival and there are to be no motorised floats or vehicles this year.
