Lemon Quay will once again be the place to discover some interesting and unusual items for sale with the Truro Antiques and Collectables Market back this month on Wednesday 14th and Saturday 24th July.

The Truro Antiques and Collectables Markets returned in June and are taking place twice a month until October this year.

Locals, Cornwall’s residents, and visitors will be able to browse and buy lots of different and unique items including: Antiques & Hand-Crafted Jewellery, Art, Automobilia, Brass, Ceramics, Copper, Cornish Books, Glass, Militaria, Postcards, Silver and Gold, Small Furniture, Toys & more.

After the two dates in July, from August to October the Truro Antiques and Collectables Market will take place on the first and third Wednesday each month.

Initiated and part-funded by Truro BID, the Truro Antiques and Collectables Market, will be outside on Lemon Quay from 9am – 4pm and will sit alongside the regular Truro Farmers Market.

For the two July dates, auctioneers Bonhams of Truro, will following the success of the June markets, have a stall offering free, no obligations valuations - so just turn up with your item!

Alun Jones, Truro BID Manager said: “We were delighted to help bring the Truro Antiques and Collectables Market Truro for two dates in June. It’s great news that once again auctioneers Bonhams of Lemon Street are returning with their stall offering free, no obligation valuations. Lemon Quay is experiencing an extra buzz on the days when the antiques market is in town. Along with the farmer’s market, the event is attracting both residents and visitors into the city centre, which will potentially benefit many other resident businesses, including hospitality.”

As well as Truro City Council and Truro Farmers Market, Truro BID has worked with David Pierce who organises Heartlands Antiques & Collectors Fair and Guildhall Collectors Fair in St. Ives to bring to the antiques and collectables traders to Truro.

David Pierce said: “Both the June markets have been a great success and all the traders are looking forward to carrying on with the Truro Antiques and Collectables Market in July.”
