Reception staff at doctor's surgery in Falmouth have asked for people's patience and understanding after a member of the reception team tested positive for Covid.
Trescobeas Surgery on Trescobeas Road says all its reception team are now having to self isolate and take calls remotely after the positive test.
Posting on their Facebook page the surgery asked for people's patience as the majority of the team could not be on the surgery premises. Calls will now be answered by staff operating remotely using equipment supplied by the surgery.
Patients who have an appointment with clinical staff have asked to attend the surgery as planned.
Posting on Facebook the surgery says: "We are sorry to have to advise you that after one member of our Reception Team tested positive for COVID 19, a large proportion our Reception Team have had to self-isolate, and can't be in the Surgery premises. We have had to take this actions following the full Government and NHS guidelines.
"We have set up as many of our Reception Team with laptops and phones as we can possibly manage, and we will be answering calls remotely. We would ask for your patience and understanding at this time - it make take longer than normal to connect to us, for which we sincerely apologise.
"If you have a booked appointment with a member of our clinical team, please attend the Surgery as planned, unless you hear to the contrary from us."
