POLICE have thanked the public for its help after finding a man reported missing. 

Devon and Cornwall Police previously said they were becoming increasingly concerned for the welfare of a missing man who they believed may be in the Helston, Falmouth area.

Robert Coleman, 38, has been reported missing from his home address in the Thames Valley area but was believed to be in Cornwall, possibly in Falmouth or Helston.

An appeal from Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Have you seen Robert?

"Police are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of 38-year-old Robert Coleman, who has been reported missing from his home address in the Thames Valley area but is believed to be in Cornwall.

"Robert is described as a white male, 5ft 9in tall, of slim build, with receding brown hair and brown beard.

"He is potentially wearing a black T-shirt, blue shorts and white trainers.

"He is thought to be driving either a red BMW 3 series saloon or a black Ford Fiesta, with a 58 number plate

"If you have seen Robert, or know of his whereabouts, please call police immediately on 999, quoting log number 0509 of 12/07/2021."

However, in an update police have now said: "Thirty-eight-year old Robert Coleman, who had been reported missing from the Thames Valley area on Monday, July 12, has been found safe by police.

"We would like to thank members of the public for their help."
