In today's daily Covid round-up the number of daily cases in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly in the last 24 hours went above 200 for the third day running at 225, which is up further on yesterday's figure of 207 and the previous day's 209.

The total number of people with at least one positive Covid-19 test result (either lab-reported or lateral flow device) in the most recent seven-day period given, which is on a delay, has risen to 1,105 in the seven days leading up to July 9, up from 1,039 on Monday. The most recent five days is not given due to incomplete data.

This means the weekly case rate average now stands at 193.2 cases per 100,000 people, up from 181.7 cases on Tuesday.

The overall total of cases in Cornwall since the start of the pandemic is now 19,160.

The daily number of people testing positive for coronavirus in the UK as of today (July 14), has gone up by almost 6,000 in the last 24 hours, to 42,302.

This takes the total of cases since the start of the pandemic to over five million nationally since the start of the pandemic to 5,191,459.

NHS England hospital daily figures are now being published every weekday, rather than every day.

Yesterday's update showed the combined number of Covid-19 deaths in total in the Duchy’s hospitals since the start of the pandemic had risen to 272, after two further deaths were announced.

These were recorded at the Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust on Friday and Saturday last week, July 9 and 10, bringing the total to 210, while at the Cornwall Partnership NHS Trust it remains at 62.

The government update shows the overall number of deaths in Cornwall – including deaths in care homes and other settings – now stands at 473 in the 28 days after a positive test on the government dashboard.

The number of deaths in Cornwall simply with Covid-19 on the death certificate is now at 576 in the most recent data available. It shows two new deaths in the week leading up to Friday, July 2, the most recent date given.

The overall UK figures show that 49 more people have died within 28 days of their first positive test result. Total UK deaths within 28 days since the start of the pandemic stands at 128,530. These figures include people in care home and other settings.

Up to Tuesday, July 13 a total of 46,037,090 people in the UK have had their first Covid-19 vaccination dose, while 35,155,767 have had their second dose.

In Cornwall it is 418,572 with their first dose and 332,672 with their second.
