Grab your shorts and a float as two leisure centres in Newquay and Falmouth are offering lifeguard courses next week with the prospect of a summer job on completion.

Anyone wanting to become a qualified National Pool Lifeguard might find themselves in luck as Newquay Leisure World and Ships and Castles Leisure Centre in Falmouth are both offering lifeguard courses from Tuesday 20 to Sunday 25 July.

The course will reportedly run from 9am to 5pm each day and those wishing to enrol will be given an initial swim test.

Organisers have said that successful candidates will be offered a fixed term contract for the summer holidays upon completion of the course at either of the two leisure centres and that they will also be rewarded with a loyalty bonus.
