Perranporth AFC has a new management set up for this season and are looking for new and experienced players to come along to training every Tuesday at 7pm to bolster an already talented group of players.

The side have two teams playing this season one in the St Piran League West and a reserves who play in the Trelawny League Four.

It is a re-birth for a club that has previously won the SWPL and Cornwall Combination league.

The last couple of seasons has seen the experienced players leave the club and ended last season with only one team in the Combination league.

With the end of Coronavirus restrictions ahead, it was the perfect time to bring in a new management team for the first team and the new reserves team and to bring some of the previous players back to the club. Perranporth also have a very strong youth set up and can draw from their talented U18's this season.

The first team will be managed by Brian Fisher who had a successful playing career for Perranwell winning the Combination league twice, as well as spending a season at Truro City in the old South Western League.

The reserves are managed by Mark Glanville, Lee Langmaid and Dan Tommasi.

First team manager Brian Fisher told us "this year is a new start for a very well run and successful club. The setting is beautiful, the facilities are fantastic and now we need to bring the good times back to Perranporth. We have the nucleus of a very competitive side, but are looking for a few extra players to join us and take us forward, training is every Tuesday 7pm start at Perranporth and we look forward to welcoming any new or existing players wanting to play a good standard of passing football and with a great social side as well"
