Some of the lanes around Cornwall are renowned for being a little narrow - but for one driver this morning the squeeze was just a little too tight.

Drivers are now being warned to avoid the back roads between Trewennack and Boskenwyn, after a lorry became stuck.

The blue HGV is now wedged in Gweek Lane, which runs from Trewennack all the way to Boskenwyn Primary School.

Although the latest update was around an hour ago, it is believed the goods vehicle remains trapped, unable to move forward or reverse back.

First spotted at 9am, it was still there at 10.15am, with Barry Tart, who came across the lorry and posted a warning on social media for people to avoid the area, saying: "It's going to be a while I think!"

It is the latest in a series of vehicles to have come a cropper on the back roads and winding lanes around Cornwall, with sat nav systems usually to blame for the mishaps, after failing to take into account the width of the road compared to the size of the vehicle - and the driver often not realising until it's too late.
