Police have arrested a man in connection with reports of a burglary and sexual assault in Truro.
The incident is reported to have taken place in the early hours of Sunday 18 July.
Following initial enquiries and information received from the public following an appeal, a man was arrested yesterday afternoon.
A 48-year-old man from Truro has been arrested in connection to this incident and remains in police custody at this time.
The victim is being supported by specially-trained officers.
Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses and ask anyone with information to contact officers on 101 quoting CR/060422/21.
