A man has died after being pulled from the sea at a popular beach.
Emergency services raced to a beach near Newquay following reports that a man had been pulled from the water.
Police, the coastguard, RNLI and air ambulance were all called to Crantock beach at around 7.30pm yesterday (Thursday).
The man, who was in his thirties, was pronounced dead at the scene after being recovered from the sea.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police were called by the coastguard at 7.30pm last night to Crantock Beach, Newquay, following reports of that a person had been pulled from the water.
"A man in his 30s was confirmed deceased at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.
"The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
