Several coastguard rescue teams were called out yesterday morning to a cliff top rescue of the bovine variety.
Tolvaddon and Bodmin Fire and Rescue, alongside Mullion Coastguard Rescue Team and Porthoustock Coastguard Rescue Team were all on scene at a cliff near Church Cove on the Lizard, to help rescue a pregnant cow who had become stranded and in need of extraction.
The rescue mission took place at around 9am Thursday morning (July 22) and multiple rescue crews attended the scene.
Upon arrival, rescue crews follows edge safety procedures and set up rescue and extraction equipment in order to allow them to descend and reascend the cliff face in order to reach the animal.
The rescue took approximately 11 hours and, once rescued and checked over, the lucky cow was set free.
