The road has now been cleared on the A30 heading towards Truro following a crash involving a car and caravan that went off the road down a bank.

Slow traffic was reported earlier heading westbound at Fraddon, just after Fraddon Services.

One lane was closed, affecting traffic heading towards Carland Cross.

Emergency services on the scene included the police and ambulance service, with a coastguard officer returning from another incident and caught in the queue also stopping to help.

The air ambulance was also called, landing in a neighbouring field, due to it appearing initially to be a serious incident.

However, it was later tasked to another incident when it was confirmed that only minor injuries had been received by the people involved in the crash.

Police have confirmed that it was a single-vehicle collision with what is believed to only be a minor ankle injury to the driver.

It is after a car left the road and went over a bank, with the caravan overturning. It has been reported that the caravan flipped first.

Traffic monitoring system INRIX reported earlier: "One lane closed and slow traffic due to accident, a car and a caravan involved on A30 Westbound after B3275 (Fraddon Services).

"Lane one (of two) is closed. Affecting traffic heading towards Carland Cross."

Long delays were being reported. However, the road has now been cleared and has full reopened.
