An annual charity evening tractor run is making a return this Saturday around the Helston area.

Organiser Bobby Eustis said after considering the matter carefully he had decide to give the event a go again this year, after it was cancelled in 2020 due to the pandemic.

Tractors of all ages can arrive at the Helston Community College bus park from 4pm on Saturday (July 31), ready to leave in convoy at 5pm.

They will then travel a route passing through Lowertown, Trevarno, Carleen, Godolphin, Ashton and then onto Porthleven for a parade around the harbour.

The vehicles are expected to arrive in Porthleven at around 6.30pm.

Money raised will be donated to the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

A record-breaking £1,000 was pulled in at the event in 2019, with 69 drivers taking part.

Bobby gave special thanks to The Cornish Oven, Helston Community College, Cornish Industrial Supplies and Amberon Traffic Management for their support of this year's event and making it possible.

Vintage and classic tractors are welcome. For more information call Bob on 07798 840095.
