Post Office in Truro threemilestone reopens longer hours

Threemilestone Post Office re-opened last week (July 21) in a new location - SPAR Threemilestone, Hugus Road, Threemilestone, Truro.

The re-located branch is approximately 60 meters from the previously closed branch at Hugus Road which closed last month.

The previous branch was being operated on behalf of the Post Office by a temporary Postmaster.

The new location has allowed us to secure the long-term future of Post Office services to the community in Threemilestone.

It is operating as a new-style local branch, with Post Office services provided from two open-plan counters alongside the retail counter of the convenience store.

Opening hours are Monday to Sunday: 7am – 9pm.

This offers 98 hours of Post Office service a week including all day Saturday and Sunday.

The branch is open earlier and closes much later every day. These changes have reportedly been made so as to be more convenient for customers to visit.

Matt Walls, Post Office Network Provision Lead, said: "We want to make it easier for customers to get their cash, send and collect their mail and do their banking because we know how important these services are to local residents.

"We are confident that this vibrant new-style Post Office at the heart of the local community will meet customer needs."

The new premises will have wide automatic doors with level access at the entrance.

Internally, there will be a hearing loop and space for a wheelchair.

Customers may park at the short stay free car park within 20 metres of the new premises, on Pengelly Way and there is a designated marked disabled bay nearby.
