A CAMPER van owner has caused outrage after parking on the beach in front of the Swanpool Cafe overnight and refusing to move.

It is claimed that a woman from the van, which it is said contained another person and a child, told people that it was OK for her to park on the beach until the morning as there was nowhere for them to camp.

Posting on Facebook Maria Harris: "Just a warning to people that cross Swanpool Beach tonight, a camper van literally on the beach. In front of the cafe with a couple of people and a child giving people grief as they walk past etc. Claiming they're OK to stay on the beach until the morning as no where in the area for them to camp, burning plastic on the fire etc.

"There's a sign clearly saying not to take vehicles on the beach."

Falmouth Packet:

People who reported it to the police claim they were told there was nothing they could do as it was a civil matter.

People who approached the woman said that were told to move away because there was someone asleep inside. They also say they were told by the woman that she might stay another night as she liked it so much.

They also says she was incredibly rude and abusive to cafe staff when they were asked to move.

However at around 9am, Jessica Oakes reported spotting the van travelling along the by pass with a flat tyre.
