After the tragic events in Keyham, Plymouth, last week, public services and organisations around Cornwall have announced they will be standing by those affected and adhering to a minute's silence at 11am today.

Cornwall Council, Porthleven Town Council, Coroner's Office and Cornwall Fire and Rescue service are among various organisations and public bodies showing their support for the people of Plymouth and those affected by the incident.

In a statement published to their social media page, Cornwall Fire and Rescue service said: "Following the tragic events that took place last week, @plymouthcc has invited the country to join in a one-minute silence today at 11am to remember the people who lost their lives during the Keyham shooting & in support of their families & loved ones, & all those affected."

The Council and Town Council's statements both read: "We're standing with our neighbours in Plymouth and will be observing one minute's silence at 11am this morning to remember those who lost their lives in the Keyham tragedy."

Police have recently launched an online page to assist them with their investigations.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "It offers an easy way for members of the public to report information direct to us.

"Enquiries are continuing at the scene and cordons remain in place. These will be closed gradually when appropriate.
