A Cornish motorcycle dealer is set to become the official UK dealer of a popular electric motorbike brand.
Damerell’s Motorcycles in St. Columb is to become Cornwall’s official dealer for the UK’s most popular electric motorcycle brand, Super Soco.
The Indian Queens retailer, which is one of the largest and longest established motorcycle dealerships in the South West, has said it will add the full range of Super Soco models to its collection of two wheeled machines.
The move comes as Cornwall Council continues to work towards the goal of being carbon neutral by 2030, following its official declaration of a Climate Emergency in 2019.
Damerell's says that, for those commuting in the area, an electric motorcycle or scooter offers a practical alternative to petrol-powered machines, costing considerably less to run without emitting polluting gases.
The events of the last 18 months have also forced consumers to rethink the way in which they travel, with more and more people recognising the lifestyle benefits that two wheels can offer, not least the ability to travel in isolation and avoiding public transport.

All Super Soco machines can be ridden upon completion of a one-day Compulsory Basic Training (CBT) course, making them easily accessible for those venturing on to two wheels for the first time.
The recent announcement of a Santander finance offer on the full range has made electric vehicle ownership even more affordable.
