One of the headline acts for a festival in St Ives this September has been revealed to be one of the Duchy's very own.
Cornish singer Will Keating has been announced as heading to the St Ives September Festival following his double August Bank Holiday Sunday stint at the Cornwall Folk Festival in Wadebridge.
Falmouth-based Will hosted an afternoon "in conversation" with Harry Glasson to mark the 70th birthday of renowned song-writer Harry - his inspiration and mentor – before performing his own evening slot on the FAR (folk, acoustic and roots) outdoor stage.
He is hoping Harry – writer of the unofficial Duchy "anthem" Cornwall My Home – is rumoured to be among his special guests for his St Ives Festival appearance at St Ia’s Parish Church on read Wednesday, September 15.

One of the guests already confirmed is Cornwall’s John Dowling, the first European ever to win the USA National Banjo Championships in Kansas back in 2002 - and has been described by Billy Connolly as "the most remarkable banjo player I’ve heard in ages."
Alongside Will's confirmation, Bryher's Boys, who delivered a half-hour performance in Wadebridge, are booked for a full evening at St Ia’s Church on Monday, September 20.
The boys currently hold the "yellow jersey” for ticket sales at the Church venue and festival organisers are advising shanty fans to book to avoid disappointment.
Penzance-based band Du Glas are the third of the Cornwall Festival “super Sunday” performers booked for St Ives.
They will appear at the Cohort Hostel on Saturday, September 18.
Tickets can be found online at www.stivesseptemberfestival.co.uk and from tourist information centres throughout Cornwall.
