Guests of Cornish Horizons have helped raise £11,390 for the Cornwall Air Ambulance service since the end of 2019.

As a chosen charity partner of the local holiday letting company, voluntary donations were made by guests when booking a stay in Cornwall this year with 100% of all donations going directly to the Cornish charity.

This years donation marks Cornish Horizons’ fourth annual donation to Cornwall Air Ambulance and the long-standing partnership now totals donations of over £36,000 since it began raising funds in 2016.

The Cornwall Air Ambulance provides a dedicated emergency service covering Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, operating a helicopter and emergency response vehicles. Cornwall’s rural nature makes their service essential to those who require urgent critical care. Their crew attends over one thousand missions each year, and the service is reliant on charitable donations.

Sherelle Puertas, Fundraising Officer at Cornwall Air Ambulance, said; “We are so grateful to have the fantastic, continued support of Cornish Horizons and their guests. With many people visiting Cornwall, this summer has been an incredibly busy one for the crew responding to incidents all across the county. It’s thanks to businesses like Cornish Horizons that make these lifesaving missions possible.”

Cath Coad, Brand Manager for Cornwall, Original Cottages said; “We are very grateful to our guests for their generous donations to our local charity partner. We are committed to supporting the local Cornish community and these funds will enable the Cornwall Air Ambulance to continue the vital and valued service they provide to Cornish residents and holidaymakers."
