Armed police have been called to Penryn this lunchtime and have seized items from a house.
The officers could be seen in the Bohill area of Penryn, causing local residents to question what was happening.
One person on Twitter described it as "three loads of armed cops."
Now Devon and Cornwall Police has given more information about the reason for the armed officers.
A spokesperson said that officers were called out shortly before midday today (Friday) over concerns about a man in one of the properties.
He is said to be currently talking with police and officers have seized two ball bearing guns.
The force spokesperson said: "We received reports of concern for the welfare of a man at an address in the Penryn area at around 11.55am today (Friday, September 10).
"Officers, including armed units, have attended and are with the male occupant, who is speaking with them.
"Two BB guns have been seized from the property and enquiries are ongoing."
