An end of season plant sale is set to return after having to cancel last year's event due to Covid-19.

The end of season plant sale will be held on Saturday October 2, 2021, in Boscawen Park.

The sale will run from 08.30 - 10.30.

The prices are set at £3.00 per bag, subject to availability.

Proceeds from the plant sale will go to Invictus Trust, a Cornish charity that aims to raise awareness of adolescent mental health, supports those struggling by signposting to help, and campaigns for better mental health services and facilities for young people in Cornwall.

Liam Shoesmith, Parks Manager for Truro City Council, said: "We are delighted for the return of the plant sale after we had to cancel last year’s event due to Covid-19.

"The plants are looking lovely as we’ve had a very good late season.

"As we replace the displays ready for the winter season, we want to sell anything that can be reusable that would make a great addition to your own gardens.

"We are looking forward to the plant sale and hope to see many of you there."

The Parks Department has received a lot of positive feedback concerning the summer planting and we are now looking forward to seeing the winter displays around the city.
