The wait is finally over for fans of a popular cafe in Helston, which has announced it is to finally reopen - for the first time this year.
Hellys Tearoom in Meneage Street shut towards the end of last year, when the second lockdown was introduced, and has not welcomed customers through its doors since.
Its Penzance sister cafe reopened earlier this year, when restrictions started to ease, and Helston customers have been able to enjoy tastes of Helly's treats with takeaways at Valentine's Day and Mother's Day, but deliveries of the Penance tearoom's Roast on the Coast each Sunday – but now tables await.
In a post on its Facebook page this morning, Hellys Tearoom announced: "We are so excited to announce that we will be finally opening our doors again! It’s been a long time coming.
"We can’t tell you how much we have missed Helston and all our customers."
The cafe will now be opening again in a week's time, on Wednesday, September 29.
It will then be open every Wednesday to Saturday, from 9.30am to 2pm, with booking advisable.
The cafe team, headed up by owners Lee and Lisa Spicer, added: "Looking forward to seeing you all again. It’s been too long, for sure. Happy days."
