Police have launched an investigation into a crash that left a motorcyclist being airlifted to hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries.
Officers were called at around 6pm on Wednesday (September 22), to reports of a collision on the Old A30 at Victoria.
It involved a white and blue Suzuki motorcycle and a white Volvo heavy tractor artic lorry.
The male rider from the motorcycle was initially trapped, and was freed by Cornwall Fire Rescue Service.
Cornwall Air Ambulance attended and the rider was airlifted to Derriford Hospital with injuries described by police as "life threatening".
Officers from the Devon and Cornwall’s Alliance Roads Policing Team were called along with a Forensic Collision Investigator and Scene of Crime Officer, and a full investigation of the scene took place.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police would like to thank the public for their patience while they investigated the scene.
"Police are appealing for any witnesses to this collision, and who may have dash cam footage, to telephone 101 quoting log 659 22/09/2021."
