A local authority is looking for residents to nominate individuals for consideration in an awards ceremony put on to recognise their services to the town across the civic year.
Penryn Town Council is inviting local nominations for its Saracen Awards for 2021/22 civic year.
The Award is the highest mark of esteem and honour that the Town Council are able to bestow in recognition of services to the town of Penryn.
The Town Council have said they may make up to two awards in any one year and recipients are restricted to individuals who have at some time resided or worked in the Parish of Penryn, or to organisations based or serving in Penryn.
The most recent recipients of the award were Jenny Gluyas, and a joint award for Paul Renton and Ada Renton, with previous awards also going to Mr and Mrs Christmas Lights, Michael and Helen Moore.
Nominations should be made in writing to the Town Clerk at Penryn Town Council, The Library, St Thomas Street, Penryn TR10 8JN by the end of Monday October 25 2021.
The council have advised that a decision will be made by full Council at its meeting on Monday November 1 2021.
