Cornwall emergency services are currently dealing with a flooding incident in a village just north of Truro.

The incident involves a ruptured water main near the A30 at Maraznavoseas that is currently affecting two residential properties well as hydrants and the area's water supply.

Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service, alongside Devon and Cornwall Police and Southwest Water are in attendance at the scene, with Cornwall Fire and Rescue having deployed two appliances and Flexi Duty officer.

Crews are reportedly using both a light portable pump and a major pump in an effort to divert the flooding water.

So far, the cause of the rupture has yet to have been confirmed.

A Spokesperson for Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service said: "We are currently dealing with a flooding incident caused by a ruptured water main near the A30 at Maraznavose.

"It is affecting 2 nearby properties, hydrants and supply in the area.

"Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service have two appliances on scene and a Flexi Duty Officer who are using a light portable pump and a major pump to divert the water.

"Southwest Water and the Police are also in attendamce.

"We will update when further information is received."
