IT was a busy day for firefighters in west Cornwall yesterday with a house fire, a garage fire and an electrical fire.
In the first incident Helston and Falmouth firefighters were called to a garage fire in Gweek, near Helston 3:48pm
When they arrived they found smoke billowing from the 50 foot by 20 foot building which had a vehicle inside.
The used breathing apparatus and a hosereel to put it out. The fire is thought to have been started accidentally.
Later that firefighters were called out to two different emergencies at the same time
Crews from Mullion and Helston were called out at around 10:11pm to a residential fire involving an electrical fuse box at an address in Mullion.
Again the cause was thought to be accidental.
At around the same time at 10.14pm a call was received by the critical control centre to a report of a fire on the first floor of a large detached farmhouse in Lanteglos.
Two appliances from Polruan and Fowey were immediately mobilised along with one whole time officer.
On arrival, this incident was 'Made up' to four appliances and with the building well alight crews from Looe and Liskeard were also mobilised
