According to Food Foundation – a charity working to bring about changes to food policy – despite vital emergency measures being in place, more people are food insecure now than before the pandemic and, while existing support schemes have made a difference, many people still struggle to eat adequately.

In addition to the hot meals, the church also provides a home delivery service to people who have requested the meals which operates on Fridays for those people who are using the church debt service.

In order to be able to provide the hot meals, Helston Methodist Church takes kind donations of food which are made by local supermarkets and then topped up by purchases made by the Methodist Church itself.
