The new landlords of a pub in Stithians that had to close during last year's lockdown have said they're excited to start a new adventure and are welcoming locals to a welcoming bash tomorrow.

Gail Parks and Eddie Rossiter took over the Seven Stars Inn in Stithians on Monday (Oct 11) and announced they'll be holding a welcoming bash in order to get to know people in the local area and introduce themselves.

The event will be held tomorrow (Fri Oct 15), and will include live music from 8:30pm courtesy of local musicians Band E Koots alongside a light buffet.

Speaking to The Packet, Gail said: "It feels surreal, it's all quite mental really, but it's good fun.

"It's a village pub and we want it to be part of the community again.

"It's a little village, so everybody's come to have a little look and say hello.

"We've had some really positive feedback so it's all been good."

The landlords also said they wanted to put on the bash as a chance for them to meet everyone whilst they all have a great time.

Gail continued: "So we're going to put on a light buffet for people and some live music.

"The music will be from the Band E Koots, they're a local band from the village.

"It's for everybody to come along and say hello.

"The music starts at 8:30 but everybody's welcome from 6pm onwards."

"It'll be a really good night, and apparently the village is buzzing about it!"

The Seven Stars Inn had originally closed back in June 2020 after the previous landlords cited the incredibly tough winter brought about by the pandemic and subsequent lockdowns had ment they could not financially sustain running the pub and would therefore be handing back the keys to license holders St Austell Brewery.
