Six fire crews have been tackling a fire at a restaurant in St Ives this morning.
The call came in just before 5.30am today (Wednesday) with Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service saying six major appliances had been sent to Fore Street.
The BBC is reporting that firefighters are inside The Balcony restaurant on the harbour front, where they appear to now be talking to the owners.
The surrounding roads have been closed.

A spokesperson for the fire service said: "Cornwall Fire and Rescue are in attendance at a property fire on Fore Street in the centre of the town.
"There are currently six major appliances on scene with a number of specialised appliances also in attendance.

Traffic monitoring system INRIX is reporting that the B3306 Fore Street one way street is closed due to a building fire, with the closure from Bunkers Hill to Lifeboat Hill.
