As new cases of Covid-19 continue to rise nationally, seven areas of Cornwall have all recorded more than 70 positive tests results in a week.

It's as Cornwall and Isles of Scilly as a whole recorded 3,174 new cases in the seven days leading up to last Friday, October 15 - the most recent data available, due to figures for the most recent five days being incomplete.

It marked an increase of 274 cases week-on-week - a rise of 9.4%.

Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly is now averaging a rate of 551.5 cases per 100,000 people, which is a further rise on the 503.2 cases per 100,000 showing last Wednesday.

During that same seven-day period, seven parts of Cornwall saw 70 or more new cases of Covid-19 recorded. They were: Marazion, St Erth & Gwinear Gwithian (79, up 15), Camborne West (75, up 23) , Camborne South (73, up four) , Pool & Illogan Highway (83, up four) , Lostwithiel & Penwithick (85, down six) , Bodmin West (93, up 51) , Callington & Pensilva (84, up 39).

However, 28 out of the 72 cluster areas in Cornwall saw a fall in new cases week-on-week; these can be found listed below.

The map shows positive cases by 'Middle Super Output Area' - the name the government gives to the break-up of larger towns and groups of neighbouring towns and villages, with groupings covering a greater area than others.

The minimum population in each area is 5,000 and the average is 7,200.
