There is a Naval theme to this week's Step Back in Time collection which has been kindly provided by the Museum of Cornish Life.

Similarly to this week's shocking weather the photo's include with the team from RNAS Culdrose helping deal with the aftermath of the flooding in St John's Road, Helston in 1993.

We also see the Officers and Ratings from RNAS Culdrose plus their band march through Helston, making use of their Freedom of the Borough, as well as a Royal Naval hovercraft on the sand at Gunwalloe Church Cove.

There are also photos of young members of the community who were able to meet some of the Culdrose crew, as well as a picture of pupils from St Michaels School wearing flippers, face masks, air tanks and other pieces of diving equipment. The school was doing a project on diving and were keen to see the diving section at RNAS Culdrose.

If you are in or recorgnise anyone from the photos contact the Museum of Cornish Life at info@museumofcornishlife.co.uk
