Boslowick Barbers in Falmouth has been crowned the Packet Hairdresser of the Year 2021.

The popular family ran barber shop which is situated in the Boslowick won the most votes despite close competition from Hair Boutique in Truro, Lucy's Hair Salon in Falmouth and the Priory in Falmouth to win the competition.

Speaking to the Packet owner of the salon Sarrelle McCann reacted to the news of winning the competition. She said:"I think it is absolutely fantastic. I'm blown away! We started the barber shop from scratch six years ago, it was an empty shelf.

"We have put 100% in since we have opened the shop. We have tried to get involved with the community ever since so it is really nice to be recognises because it is all about community."

Since lockdown restrictions were lifted, barber shops all round have been overloaded with customers looking to amend their overgrown locks!

"It means a lot because you can as a barber yourself win awards doing other things, but to win something locally is more heartwarming because it means you are actually getting to your clientele and doing right by your community. Sarrelle added.

"The shop has really achieved quite a lot this year and this is the icing on the cake so it is really great."

"Sam and l would also like to mention our amazing staff. Rea Richardson and Jade Taylor. Both girls support us in all that we do and work extremely hard, also my partner Sam who works so hard behind the scenes".
