A new Covid booster jab clinic is to open in Helston from this Monday.

It is likely to be welcome new for people living both in the town and out on the Lizard Peninsula, who until recently have been forced to travel to the Royal Cornwall Hospital Health and Wellbeing Innovation Centre, Wadebridge Showground or GP practice alternatives in Penzance and Camborne.

From Monday, however, boosters will be available much closer to home.

Booster vaccination clinics will be running at Helston Athletic Football Club at Kellaway Park, on Clodgey Lane, every Monday and Tuesday for the foreseeable future.

The news was confirmed by the club on its Twitter page today (Saturday), saying: "These are booster doses only, and are available online or via 119."
