After mass cancellations last year, firework displays are returning to Cornwall with a bang this weekend.

Here we've rounded up a selection of some of the organised events you can attend this Friday and Saturday.

All are weather dependent, but currently the forecast is looking dry, albeit a bit cloudy with an average temperature of around 11°C.

Falmouth Fire Station Annual Musical Fireworks Display

Friday, November 5

Gates open at 6pm with a 7pm start for this popular display organised by Falmouth Fire Station, which is always set to music.

Falmouth Firefighters Social and Welfare Club and members of Falmouth Cricket Club will be hosting this year’s event at Falmouth Cricket Ground, off Trescobeas Road. Gates open at 6pm for a 7pm start. Refreshments will be available but there will be limited toilet facilities. Chaos Radio will be providing music and entertainment and there will be stalls to purchase food.

Entry is £4 for adults and £2 for children, cash only; children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Money raised is shared between local charities and good causes.

People are encouraged to arrive early, with large crowds arriving nearer to the start time. There is no parking at the site.

Heartlands, Pool

Friday, November 5

Heartlands bonfire and fireworks event is returning for 2021. Provided by the Heartlands Trust, the community event is free to attend with no need to pre-book.

Visitors arriving from 4pm for the fairground, food and drink, with the bonfire lit at 6.30pm, singing from the Oggymen at 7pm and the fireworks at 8pm, followed by music at 8.30pm.

Cornwall's Drive-In Firework Spectacular, Royal Cornwall Showground, Wadebridge

Saturday, November 6

Tickets are selling fast, with VIP tickets all gone but some standard tickets remaining from www.fireworkscornwall.com They cost £35 for a standard car of up to five people, vehicle less than 1.8m in height, and £45 for a large car of up to seven occupants, vehicle height between 1.8m and 2m.

Gates open at 3pm with last entry 7pm for the fireworks at 7.30pm prompt.

The display will last for approximately 18 minutes, with a small number of individual firework shots from 7.15pm to act as a countdown until the main display begins.

Three Tuns, St Keverne

Friday, November 5

The pub's annual display is back, costing £4 for adults and £2 for children, no booking necessary.

Taking place in the field behind the pub, gates open at 5.30pm for barbecue and bar. The bonfire will be lit at 6pm, followed by the display at around 6.30pm, accompanied by music from Proper Job Disco. The pub had been hoping to have pirate sea shanty band Jolly Roger perform, but the band has sadly had to cancel due to illness.

Parking in the village square or the parish council car park a two-minute walk away.

Lizard Football Club

Friday, November 5

Fireworks at 7pm, with the clubhouse open beforehand and food from Chimichangas from 6pm.

Donations at the entrance, in aid of next year's display.

People are asked to park in the village and walk to the club.

Ruan Minor

Saturday, November 5.

Taking place at Grade Ruan Recreation Ground, gates open at 5pm for the display at 7pm.

This year's event will be in aid of both the recreation ground and also the Grade Church Roof Appeal.

Tregolls School Fireworks, Truro

Friday, November 5

Organised in aid of the school's PTA, entry is by donations on the door.

Gates open at 6.30pm with the display at 7pm. There will also be pasties and glow sticks.

Tregony Fireworks Evening

Saturday, November 6

Held at Tregony Sports Club in back Lane, in conjunction with the Tregony Clockhouse Players. Gates open 5pm, with the bonfire lit at 6pm and fireworks at 7pm, followed by live music from 8.45pm.

Plume of Feathers, Mitchell, Newquay

Friday, November 5

The pub is hosting a traditional bonfire and firework display, with 30% of the proceeds going to the Mitchell Village Association.

Gates open at 6pm and there will be a £5 charge for adults, with free entry for children.

The bonfire will be lit at 6.30pm and the fireworks will start at 7.30pm.

There will be an outdoor bar and food hut serving pulled pork burgers and drinks. Parking is limited on site, but there is additional on street parking.

Newquay Sports Centre, Tretherras Road

With three outdoor bars, barbecue from Wax in Newquay, hog roast and the Burrito bus, fire-breathers, plus live bands and DJs, there will be plenty to do.

Music from 6pm with fireworks at 7pm, followed by an after party with Cyderfex.

Raising money for mental health support programmes, which are carried out in the centre weekly.

VIP viewing area and lots of parking.

Fireworks For Food Bank, North Quay Hayle

Sunday, November 7

Organised by Corinthian Homes at Penpol Creek, behind Asda car park, entry is from 6.30pm and fireworks between 7.30pm and 8pm.

There will be food stalls on site and all profit from ticket sales goes to Hayle Food Bank.

Advance tickets cost £3 adults, £2 children, or £8 family ticket (two adults, two children) from North Quay Marketing Suite. On the night will cost £4 adults, £3 children, £10 family ticket. Under fives free with an adult.
