Properties in Camborne and St Austell have been snapped up in the latest auction by regional land and property auctioneers Clive Emson.

The freehold of a block of flats in Camborne town centre drew strong bidding before selling well in excess of its guide price.

Connexion House – with four apartments, each with two bedrooms – fetched £357,000 when the auctioneer’s gavel fell.

With a guide of £280,000 to £300,000, it was among the lots in the seventh auction of 2021.

Based in New Connexion Street, the property was most recently used as a supported living facility.

Senior auction appraiser David Henwood said: "There was incredibly strong interest in this substantial end-terrace property.

"Its well-proportioned flats are in good order and the new owner may wish to gain a return on their investment with lettings.

"They may also consider the potential for the sub-division of the building to create more residential units, subject to the necessary consents."
