A garden centre near Helston is hoping to give local families a Christmas momento they can cherish.

Trevena Cross in Breage near Helston will be putting on free undercover festive photo opportunities for families to enjoy throughout December.

The festivities kick off on the first three weekends of December, 10am to 4pm and, alongside the Christmas displays and photo opportunities, a small food and drink market will also be setting up for guests to visit.

Trevena Cross owner Graham Jeffery explained: "Everyone is craving some Christmas excitement.

"After last year when Christmas and the build-up to it was stifled by restrictions and a lack of normality, we’re all just desperate to feel that joy again, and have some fun!

"We’re inviting visitors to enjoy some free festive fun, no strings attached.

"Yes, we’ll have our big Christmas shop, £25 Christmas trees and delicious produce from our market traders at the weekends should you wish to indulge, but there is no obligation to spend a penny when you visit!

"Soak up the festive atmosphere, take some fabulous festive photos to treasure forever, and simply experience some well-deserved joy."

Displays will include singing reindeer and polar bears as old favourites are joined by brand new ‘wow factor’ displays.

The Trevena Cross team have the feeling the brand new giant penguin band could be the big hit this year though!

While the garden centre is not running its usual Christmas trail with Father Christmas grotto, it hopes to still offer plenty of festive spirit.

Describing the festivities, Trevena Cross says: "Think deconstructed grotto, minus the big man himself, with a selection of stalls hosting the best food and drink Cornwall has to offer thrown in at the weekends, and that will be the undercover area outside the shop, spreading festive feeling this December."
