An animal charity in Cornwall is looking for help in re-homing 'Britain's unluckiest dog.'

Dillon, a nine year old male Lurcher, has lived at the National Animal Welfare Trust in Hayle for two years since being rescued by the Trust's team.

Dillion was rescued after his elderly owner passed away and he was found lying with him and protectively watching over him.

After never living with another dog, children, and never walking with another dog, the team at NAWT worked with him to make Dillon’s life as stress free as possible.

According to the Trust, Dillon has seen countless dogs come and go and yet, unfortunately, is still waiting for a new owner to take him home.

After a trial living with another dog, it was clear this scenario wasn't going to be an option going forward as Dillon is seemingly just too used to being an only child to share.

Several people have started to get to know Dillon but, through no fault of his own, they have all pulled out.

Changes of circumstances, family, changes of heart have all lead to Dillion being dubbed 'Britain's unluckiest dog.'
