Police have given an update after launching an appeal to find a pensioner who had not been seen since Friday evening.

Devon and Cornwall Police earlier asked for members of the public to keep a look out for 76-year-old Helen Greenham and call 999 if they saw her.

Helen had last been seen yesterday evening (Friday) in the Newlyn area of west Cornwall and has not been seen since.

It was thought she may be confused and disorientated.

However, since launching the appeal for help, Devon and Cornwall Police have issued an update to say that Helen has been found.

A force spokesperson said: "Helen has been located safe and well.

"We would like to thank the public for their assistance."

Helen is believed to be wearing a green coat and carrying a red/pink coloured handbag, as in the picture distributed by police.
