POLICE have appealed for witnesses after a gang of youths attacked a man in Truro leaving him with a broken nose and a 'small' stab wound.

Officers are investigating the assault which took place in Truro city centre on Tuesday, November 16.

It is believed that an altercation took place at around 7:30pm outside the fish and chip shop on Lemon Quay.

The victim, a man in his 20’s was attacked by a group of youths and sustained a broken nose and a small stab wound.

Police arrested two men shortly after the incident and in total four 17-year-old boys have been interviewed under caution in connection to this matter; all have been released on police bail until December 15.

Police are appealing for witnesses and would like to hear from anyone who was in the area and witnessed the assault.
