Tailbacks are being reported this morning after a van broke down near Mylor.

Queues have been reported at the Mylor turning near Treluswell roundabout on the Penryn side.

Witnesses to the broken down van described how the van had one point caught fire, however, the flames died down quickly.

It is unknown as to whether the van has been moved out of the way of traffic.

The vehicle was a large blue cargo-like van, however, The Packet has been unable to confirm the make and model.

The incident comes as the Met Office issued a yellow weather warning yesterday, advising that strong winds from Storm Arwen could potentially travel disruption and dangerous driving conditions.

A spokesperson for the Met Office said: "Storm Arwen will bring high winds southwards from northern Scotland during Friday.

"Gusts will widely reach 55 to 65 mph in many coastal areas with the highest gusts in coastal parts of Scotland and Northern Ireland where gusts in excess of 65 mph are expected in some areas.

"Injuries and danger to life from flying debris are possible.

"Some damage to trees, temporary structures and buildings, such as tiles blown from roofs, could happen.

"Road, rail, air and ferry services may be affected, with longer journey times and cancellations possible.

"Some roads and bridges may close."
