A further Covid vaccine drop-in clinic is taking place in Falmouth today – the third this week.

On Monday Jayne Kirkham, Cornwall Councillor for Falmouth Penwerris, called for more vaccination clinics in the town after a pop-up one at The Moor that day saw people queuing for more than an hour to get jabbed.

It was subsequently confirmed that there will be another pop-up clinic, again in the Atherton Suite of the town council offices on The Moor, today, Friday (November 26) between 10am and 3pm.

This in addition to the vaccination clinic at Falmouth University's Woodlane Campus on Tuesday, which is also ran from 10am until 3pm.

Ms Kirkham said on Tuesday: "The one yesterday [Monday] was hugely well attended and 300 people were vaccinated so there’s a definite need in Falmouth."

In all cases people are able to receive their first, second or booster vaccination, if they are eligible. There is no need to pre-book, with anyone able to just join the end of the queue.

Anyone over the age of 40, who had their second vaccine at least six months ago, can now get their booster at a walk-in clinic.

People can now also book their Covid-19 booster appointment five months (152 days) after their second dose, meaning they could receive their top up vaccine on the day they become eligible at six months (182 days).
