A Cornish cottage company have announced the winner of its competition that saw school pupils design their Christmas card this year.

This year, Redruth based self-catering holiday letting agency Cornish Cottage Holidays invited local primary school children to enter a competition to design their Christmas card.

After receiving hundreds of entries, the winner was Bella Houghton of Parc Eglos Primary School, Helston, for her humorous design showing seagulls escaping with presents taken from Santa’s sleigh!

The card will be printed and sent to hundreds of the agency’s owners, suppliers and contacts.

In exchange for taking on the challenge, all schools involved are being given £100 worth of National book tokens to expand their libraries, whilst Bella is being awarded a £30 gift voucher to buy a prize of her choosing.
