THE Trelowarren Arms pub in Budock, near Falmouth, has been forced to close until early in the new year.

The popular drinks venue has been forced to shut due to members of staff testing positive for Covid 19.

In a statement published on their Facebook page by the pub’s owner read: “Unfortunately myself and Martin have both come down with Covid and therefore have no option but to shut the pub.

“We will be open again on Thursday, January 6.

“We would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support this year and look forward to seeing you in 2022!

“Stay safe x.”

The pub’s post was met with a number of heartfelt responses from regulars who wished the pair well, and the pub thanked the public for their thoughts, insisting that ‘they are not feeling too bad’.

The closure follows the government’s latest update where ministers said there would be no further Covid restrictions to be put in place before the new year.
