A man from Penryn has avoided being jailed after assaulting two people at the start of November.
Joshua Thomas, 18, from Mabe Burnthouse in Penryn, Cornwall, pleaded guilty to two charges of assault by beating along with possession of cannabis when he went in front of magistrates at Truro Magistrates' Court on December 16.
Thomas assaulted a woman and a police officer on November 3 in Falmouth and was found with a quantity of cannabis in his possession.
A restraining order was taken out banning Thomas from contacting one of the victims or visiting an address.
He was also fined £120 and made to pay compensation of £150.
For the possession of cannabis, Thomas was fined £120 and the cannabis was forfeited to police to be destroyed.
For assaulting the police officer, Thomas was also fined £120 and made to pay compensation of £150.
