A former Methodist chapel and two shops which are located in Helston Town Centre have been placed for auction.
The old chapel and Sunday school complete with pews and pulpit at Trewennack is going under the auctioneer’s gavel.
They have a freehold guide price of £130,000 to £140,000 in the first auction of 2022 by the regional land and property auctioneers Clive Emson.
Senior auction appraiser David Henwood said: “This Methodist chapel and its adjacent Sunday school building offer plenty of potential.
“The chapel exudes character and charm with a large worship hall, tiered pew seating, choir stalls and pulpit while the Sunday School offers good sized accommodation too.
“In a rural location yet close to the town of Helston, the building offer a variety of potential uses for new owners, including residential conversion subject to the necessary consents.”
Trewennack Methodist Chapel and Sunday School is being auctioned in arrangement with Christophers Estate Agents of Helston.
As well as this two properties in Helston Town Centre have been listed for auction.
Both listings are located on Meneage Street which runs through the middle of Helston Town Centre, allowing a prime position to make the most of the town's shopping streets.
The first listing, a mixed-use property at 57 and 57A Meneage Street is a ground floor shop with a basement and a three-bedroom maisonette has a freehold guide price of £110,000 plus.
It is among the lots in the first auction of 2022 by the regional land and property auctioneers Clive Emson.
Senior auction appraiser David Henwood said: “This is a charming mixed-use property forming part of a parade of shops on one of Helston’s main shopping streets.
“It offers a wealth of opportunities including owner-occupation as a live/work unit, as a letting investment or resale back into the local market.”
The property is being auctioned jointly with MAP estate agents of Barncoose.
The second listing in Helston town centre is an investment property at 47-49 Meneage Street has a freehold guide of £65,000 to £75,000.
At the moment it is let at £6,500 per annum on a 30-year commercial lease from February 2007.
The property boasts a courtyard and two store buildings outside. It also includes commercial space over two floors along with living accommodation at first floor level.
Bidding is live from Monday February 7, with the auction ending on Wednesday February 9.
